Default Questions regarding alot (that i've missed)

Greetings.
It has been almost 2 years since i played guild wars. I quit just before the expansion came (Factions).
Okey, so, a brief background of what i did during my era of guild wars playing:
- I mainly played my warrior and necromancer. They had access to every secondary profession. (warrior/ele for an example).
- 2 lvl 20 alts with Droknar gear
- Necro and warrior geared in 15k gear and the warrior with 3 green weapons. (one 1h axe/sword and a 2h mace). The weapons were awesome, especially 2h mace as a warrior/elementalist in PVP. I PVPed a lot with a guild and we managed to do a lot.
- I was very active in the difficult dungeons, doing treasure runs and fighting my way to a place where there was a possibility to get a hold of a really awesome armor (in some dungeon).

I excelled in PVP and PVE, but that was 2 years ago. Now i feel like guild wars is a new game to me. What has there been...3 expansions?
Couple of questions;
- I would like to start playing again this fall, and gonna buy one of the expansions. If i like it, i might considered getting more.

Questions:
1. Which expansion is worth getting? Factions/Nightfall/EyeOfTheNorth? I have seen everything in Prophecies and i am after new gear/armor/playing style and professions.

2. Which expansion has the most new gear and weapons? And do they excel green weapons from prophecies?

3. Nightfall or Factions, which of the classes/new stuff are more fun? I am very fond of my warrior and melee classes.

4.....AH!!! Now i remember, i am in possesion of all the victos items. (blade/axe/mace). Are they any good today?

Thanks for your time listening!

Factions and NF are campaigns. Eye of the North is an expansion, and thus brings new skills and some new gear to the table, but no new professions.

NF and Eye of the North give you access to heroes, which you can equip with your own skillset if you're inclined to play alone - you can take up to three of them in place of henchies.

My suggestion re gear, by the way, would be to drop in on the wiki and browse through stuff to see what you like. There's a lot of things out there.

I rarely play melee classes, so I'm afraid I can't give you advice on the rest. Good luck and welcome back!

In GW if you dont own all the campaigns and eotn it sounds bad to put it this way, but you are at an extreme disadvantage. Most speed runs require skills from all 4 areas and not having factions doesnt let you have an assassin while not owning nightfall keeps you from having access to a vast amount of heroes

Doesnt sound awefully too good.
Considered focusing mostly on PVP though this time. PVE? Yea i most likely will try it out, but from a PVP POV, are all factions needed? And i do wish to create a roleplaying char and not a instant 20 (find that really boring).

Actually, you haven't seen all of Prophecies, because there have been some changes. For example, the endgame area, which is barely more than a year old. Check out the Deldrimor weapon skins that you can get there.

If you're only going to get one new campaign, I would suggest Nightfall. Not only for the heroes, as others have mentioned, but because the weapons there use the inscription system that didn't exist for either Prophecies or Factions. Inscriptions make it easier to tailor a weapon to your tastes, so you don't have to toss a weapon with a skin you like because it doesn't have the inherent mod you need.

If you like melee classes, Nightfall has the dervish and Factions has the assassin. If it were me, I'd probably go with the dervish if I wanted to try melee. (I prefer caster classes myself.)

For PvP, you will either need to get all campaigns or purchase Skill Packs from NCSoft. Without the newer (to you) skills you will be at a serious disadvantage.

Factions has the quickest route to a level 20 character. You can level up in one day. Max armor is available as soon as you leave the beginner island.

I believe the cheapest way is to buy the Trilogy, which contains all three campaigns for about $50. This would upgrade your Prophecies to Game of the Year version and add Factions & Nightfall to your account. Then you would just need to buy EotN.

Fissure of Woe (FoW) is the dungeon with the special armor that you remember. It is still there. There are also new high-end areas in each campaign. The weapons from each of them are still on the rare list.

Thank you all for the help, and i'll look into the package with all the games.

In comparison to World of Warcraft (forums), people here seem a lot more polite I hope its the same in the game still!
